The boys of TVXQ rocked Stadium Merdeka at their second Asian tour concert last Saturday.

TOP South Korean act TVXQ was in town as part of its second tour of Asia. I saw the guys in concert during their first Asian tour last year and nothing could have kept me away from another performance. Known as Dong Bang Shin Gi in Korea and Tohoshinki in Japan, TVXQ is the acronym for Tong Vfang Shen Qi, which means Gods Rising from the East.
Cassiopeians (TVXQ fans) poured into Stadium Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur in a sea of pearl red on Saturday evening. The 12,000-strong audience was double that of the first concert last year. The speakers were booming and the earth shook under my feet.
Fans of all ages were screaming, “Dong Bang Shin Gi, saranghae.” (TVXQ, I love you, in Korean.)
TVXQ opened the concert with a bang, rocking the stadium with a succession of fast dance numbers like Phantom, Million Men, The Way U Are and Rising Sun. Well-known for their dancing prowess and choreography skills, the boys and their dancers dazzled fans with their funky moves.
The show’s anti-war theme was illustrated with black-and-white images of war and terrorism shown on the screens, in between songs. It was an amazing pyrotechnic-fest, too, as every song was punctuated with fireworks.
The humid Malaysian climate got to the boys, and they were bathed in sweat. They started in all-black outfits with long black trench coats, which they quickly shed after the second song.
After the fourth song, we witnessed the boys diving down from tens of metres above into the “water”, where they “swam” down to save a woman in a rescue scene achieved using wires.
Returning for their fifth song, One, they wore white trench coats, to symbolise angels of peace. With the spotlight on them, the boys seemed to glow.
Then they introduced themselves in Malay and English and Korean, before rendering pop ballads Trust and You’re My Miracle.
Up next were individual performances; Xiah, 20, (Kim Jun-su) gave a rousing performance of My Page, which he composed himself. Wearing a metallic gold outfit, he donned a black cap just before the “rain” started falling on him, reminiscent of Korean pop idol Rain.
Micky, 21, (Park Yoo-chun) entertained with Brian McKnight’s One Last Cry.
U-Know, 21, (Jung Yun-ho) rocked to Spokesman, which he composed himself. He was joined by Lee Dong-hae of 13-member South Korean boyband Super Junior, who rapped.
During the fast dance numbers, U-Know sang in a far corner as he had injured his back last month.
Max, 19, (Shim Chang-min) sang When I First Kissed You, an English song by Extreme. Golden-haired Hero, 21, (Kim Jae-joong) delivered Crying, a song by Korean band Flower.
While performing Tri-Angle, the boys were joined by Chinese singer Zhang Liyin. Xiah performed his second piece of the night with pretty Zhang. They did a duet called Timeless.
After that, an anime clip of TVXQ was screened that showed the boys discovering their management company, SM Town. Amid cheers for an encore, TVXQ closed the concert with Unforgettable and Hug which the fans sang along to.
Yes, TVXQ swept us off our feet and stole our hearts. The good-looking guys, who hold the distinction of being the first Korean pop act to stage a concert in Malaysia, performed close to 30 songs in the almost three-hour-long concert.
Kamsahamnida (thank-you) for a wonderfully entertaining evening and I hope to see TVXQ again next year.
The Malaysian leg of the TVXQ 2nd Asia Tour Concert ‘O’ was jointly organised by CMG Absolute and Dream Maker Entertainment and presented by LG Mobile.
P/s: I'm pretty sure it wasn't Donghae that was rapping with Yunho. Just thought you gals should be better informed. I'm also in doubt that it was the boys who performed the swimming wire act. I doubt SM Entertainment would let them perform stunts like that and get themselves hurt.

TVXQ Asia 2nd Tour Concert Malaysia (Contributors’ Account)
So we bunch of gals from the DBSKer Team went to the Malaysian leg of the 2nd Asia tour Concert 'O' together. An account from our contributor, Sherli's point of view.
#Finally the long-awaited day had arrived! TVXQ in KL!!! Arrrgh!! We’re walking on the very same soil!! *imagines as she drools*
We reached the stadium about 4.45pm and were shocked by the sea of red there. Thankfully Lynn managed to convince me to get that RED shirt at the last minute. Saw some of them cos-playing with tiger ears, rabbit ears and one even came as a vampire who had forgotten to wipe the bloodstain of the side of her mouth. Nevertheless, we joined in the fun and wore red and even bought ourselves red balloons too. It was overwhelming when we got there, we could feel the tension as they were eyeing the gates waiting for them to be open, crowds of them had started gathering even before 2pm. My goodness, and it’s blistering hot out there!
The sponsors had stalls set up near the entrance to the Pit Zone selling their merchandise (TVXQ and S.H.E’s LG engraved mobile phones, DVD’s, etc.) and there was a mobile Green Box Karaoke van. They were playing some S.H.E song causing the crowd to boo at them. Thankfully they got the cue and played O Jung Ban Hap instead, which spurred a great response. The fans delightedly went crazy and sang along. This is the tremendous power that TVXQ’s Malaysian fans possessed. FEAR US!!
The gates finally open at about 6pm and the fans went hysterical and were struggling with the gatekeepers. They ended up shouting at us for being pushy, insane, and impatient, like HELLO! You expect like a few thousand of us to fit through that one puny gate of yours and you had like FOUR gates and yet you only opened ONE! FREAKING NO-BRAINER!!
We had to push and massacre those in our way through the bottle-neck of BO-swarming-crowd and when we finally got through, it was like ‘Victory! I made it out ALIIIVEE!! Wait, I need to breathe!’ Songs of SM’s artistes like Super Junior, CSJH, SMTown were being played and this one particular song which got the crowd hyped was Super Juniors’ ‘Don’t Don’. After some time, two white MPVs came speeding into the stadium at around 7.30pm and the crowd went into hysterical hyper-active mode trying to catch a glimpse of the boys getting out of the car.
The concert finally started at about 8.30pm with the war siren blaring and the crowd went into frenzied screaming and yelling. The performance started with ‘Phantom’ and ‘Million Men’. Yunho stood behind at first whilst the rest danced and sang. He only walked up to the front to sing/perform his part before slowly, if not forlornly, returning backstage. It sure was heartbreaking to see Yunho hurt and not being able to dance. Most of all, for not being able to participate in presenting to Malaysia the awesome ‘Fab Five’. Nevertheless, his brief appearances on a rock-like-platform now and then, only encouraged the fans, who gave tremendous support in return each time he appeared.
It was awesome to finally get to see the boys perform live in person. So near yet so far!! They had underwater effects where they tried to save a drowning girl. It was hilarious somewhat, as he dropped her halfway just to save her again, and the boys appeared performing ‘One’.
Their solo performances were awesome as Junsu performed the self composed ‘My Page’ and did a little fan-service by having water pouring down like rain onto him as he danced away. But he slipped twice while performing on stage; the other was during O’Jung Ban Hap, which got Lynn like awfully worried. But with each slip he managed to bounced back like it never happened. Junsu, take better care of yourself!
Yunho’s solo performance was amazing as he appeared from under the stage dressed in military wear and he was throwing papers everywhere. Wow…. Awesomeness!! But he did not rip off his shirt which made April a little sad. He changed three jackets, neatly dancing in and out of them each time. JaeJung’s solo, ‘Crying’ sounded very much nicer than in the Concert CD. I was a little worried on whether JaeJung could still do his whistle registry as like he does back in Hug days. But he had proved himself by doing it during ‘Miduhyo’ performance though not as lengthy as the last time. Yoochun’s delivery of One Last Cry was convincingly moving. Perhaps it’s the effects of his voice. Changmin’s solo was also well delivered and presents a different mood with props and lightings.
Zhang Li Yin performed ‘Tri-Angle’ with them which brought us to the ‘Timeless’ performance with Junsu. She sounded much better now than she did when she had first debuted. At one part after a song, Junsu said, “Very Hawt-teh!’ then the rest joined in, ‘Very very Hawt-teh!’, ‘Very Hot!’!! It was uber cute-ness!!
During Balloons performance, they came out in cute little buggy airplanes and were driving round the stage area. Yunho was speeding crazily around the stage! Someone should've given him a ticket! Chang Min had difficulty controlling his as he wanted to enter an area and realized that his buggy will not be able to go up the stairs therefore he reversed and tried to enter the main stage but he ended up turning at a wrong angle and kind of got himself stucked somehow. But he managed to come out and join the guys for the next performance which was HiYaYa! Yoochun was the last to step out of his buggy plane and he was being really Ki Ub Tah!(Cute) by standing up and down in his little buggy until he got to the main stage. There was a lot of Yoosu! Jaeho never failed us and there was even YunChun! I had a feeling that Changminnie was being a little shy…hhmmm..
As for the fan event, it was sad to say that we didn’t think it happened. I dunno if we were too far away to pick up the cue or what not. The TVXQ cheer never happened during the O Jung Ban Hap and Hug. ‘I’ll Be There’ was never sung at all, or either people in the Pit Zone sang really soft so the whole crowd did not get any cue to start. Perhaps everyone was just too drowned and lost in the magic delivered by the boys in their song and movement, to even remember what their own names were. What more pre-planned cheers. ^_^
Nevertheless, the concert ended after a whole 2 and a half hours. Even so we felt like time flew really fast. We SO did not have enough of TVXQ! Their cute “Bai bai!” was still ringing in our ears. Even so, most of us left the concert with a big satisfied smile on our faces. Proudly swinging our red balloons as we returned to our hotel, it’s just like saying,

South Korean boyband rocks Stadium Merdeka
KUALA LUMPUR: TVXQ, the hottest boyband from South Korea, wowed 12,000 fans at their second Asia tour concert.
Since their Rising Sun 1st Asia Tour 2006 Live in Malaysia concert last year, the boys have achieved such phenomenal success that as their concert tickets have almost doubled in price and their audience has also doubled in numbers.
The Cassiopeians (TVXQ fans) in Malaysia turned up in amazing numbers, as was evident in the sea of red at Stadium Merdeka on Saturday.
Hordes of fans welcomed their favourite idols with shrieks of “Dong Bang Shin Gi saranghae” (Korean for “TVXQ I love you”). The name of the band, translated into English, literally means Gods Rising from the East.
The five-man band performed 24 songs including several romantic ballads as well as several dance numbers from their chart-topping albums Tri-Angle, Rising Sun and O Jung Ban Hap.
Hero Jae-joong, 21, U-Know Yun-ho, 21, Micky Yoo-chun, 21, Xiah Jun-su, 20, and Max Chang-min, 19, each performed one solo number which prompted their fans to scream out their names during the interludes.
The boys were joined by pretty Chinese singer Zhang Liyin in the later half of the concert.
The two-and-a-half-hour show had lots of pyrotechnics and, surprisingly, wire acts as well.
TVXQ 2nd Asia Tour Concert ‘O’, which kicked off in Seoul in February, will see the band making further stops in Bangkok, Singapore, Shanghai and Beijing.

Thailand - YAMAHA CF Filming
Sorry.. Not the actual CF. Just something I though you all might be interested in reading. Some minor details were cut off here and there. But the gist of it is probably still very much there. The words in italic are the fan's comments
Fan Account of the boys in Thailand for the YAMAHA CF
November 9th, 2007:
"The boys were riding motorcycles. Jaejoong was the first one to ride one, with Junsu on it. And at the same time, he was teaching Yoochun how to ride it (- - ||| JJ, do you know how to ride a motorcycle? you're even teaching micky baby to ride one? ... take care of Junsu, don't fall).
After the shoot, it was around 5pm. They went to a restaurant named "MK Gold", and ate the Thai-style Sukiyaki (some kind of beef hotpot). Everytime the fans start screaming, Jaejoong gets shy (>< you still get shy? I thought you'd be used to it already - -). They dined for about an hour, and returned to the hotel thereafter, and they went for a massage! Jaejoong changed out of his boots, and into sneakers, a lot of fans said he looked beautiful/gorgeous and was very fashionable."
November 10th, 2007:
"At approximately 7:30 in the morning, Yunho, Yoochun and Junsu headed off to the Imperial Queen's Park hotel to carry on with the shooting of the CF, at this time, Jaejoong and Changmin were still asleep (what good life). At approximately 10:30, Jaejoong and Changmin left the hotel to go shoot the CF.
The whole process [of shooting the CF] ended around 5pm, and they were riding the motorcycles again, but Jaejoong wasn't riding one today. When the car came to pick them up, Jaejoong sat at the last row. He drew back the curtains and smiled and showed us a 'V' sign. Then, the boys went back to the hotel to check-out.
Then, they went to a restaurant by the river -- Buritara. Their reserved seats were by the river (they won't fall right..). Jaejoong was the first one to get down from the car and he looked very excited. Yoochun also smiled and waved at the fans. The Thai fans were really happy.
The boys ate a lot. And somewhere in the middle, Yunho started bleeding from the nose (I was thinking it must be the weather...), so he went to the bathroom and Jaejoong followed. At this instant, Jaejoong wasn't wearing his jacket anymore, but only a black sleeveless tank (muscles, ah, muscles~).
While eating, Jaejoong, Yunho and Junsu talked about a lot of stuff.
When they left, they waved to the fans.
Then, the boys got to the airport and did some shopping at the duty-free.. place.. thing. Jaejoong bought a lot of stuff. When he had to pay for it all, Jaejoong patted the wallet in his pants, telling his assistant, who was beside him, that he didn't have enough money (- - |||). Then the assistant took off to I-don't-know-where and got him some money to pay for the stuff... Yoochun bought some toy bears.
Oh yes, Jaejoong also kept the stuff the fans gave him (which I heard was a lot... someone was really happy)."

"After they had all left, Gring [the fan] went back to the hotel, where they had had their massage, to look for the boys' masseuse.
Before they had their massage, the boys wanted to take a bath before enjoying the massage. So when they had their massage, they were all naked (oh my, naked from top-to-toe >< they didn't even have their underwear on). When they lay on the bed, the boys only had this tiny towel on top of their PP (which apparently means private part, I think?). But the masseuse said if you wanted to see it, you could.
The masseuse also said that Jaejoong had the most beautiful body of all."

Dong Bang Shin Ki held a press conference after the "TVXQ The 2nd Asia Tour Concert "O" Seoul Encore' on the 28th.

Questions and answers:
-Feelings upon returning to Korea for concert
"Using Korean in our country is the most comfortable, there was also great response, it was very good to be able to converse together with the fans."
-Heard that you met the five-man group Backstreet Boys, what was the content of the show?
"We met Backstreet Boys on the program "Music Fair", they asked us how long do we intend to stay together as a group, so we said that we would like to continue to stay together. They are also working hard as a group and are very happy to meet Asian groups, and complimented us saying our voices are good."
-Happenings upon going to France for photoshoot
"We never thought that people would recognize us there, but there were 30-40 fans welcoming us at the airport and made us rather shocked, furthermore there were some afro-americans holding placards and cheering, which shocked us. After the 5-day shoot there were close to 100 fans at the airport, the staff at the airport have also begun to notice us and take an interest. The students at the school where we shot at have also heard songs from our album, they liked "Hey Girl" and "O Jung Ban Hap".
-How is U-Know Yunho's back injury
"The injury came from the waist, the lumubar vetebrate. The management did not allow Yunho to go on stage at first, but because we haven't done activities in Korea for a long time, we were afraid that the fans might be disappointed
if they don't see us together. So we have continued to perform this three days despite the ache and pain."
-Future plans for activities include..
"For the short-term we will be focusing on Japan activities, and also will be attending activities in China and Taiwan for the Asian tour. We will be going to Japan on the 29th and releasing a new single on the 14th.
There will also be publicity activities with Koda Kumi. Now we don't need a translator in Japan and are able to communicate, and many Japanese know us, so we haven't been going out too often."

AnyCall CF - Talk, Play, Love.. (featuring Junsu..)
I think I heard the boys talking in Iple Talk Radio how Junsu went to Brazil for some shoots or something. Here's more information on it. Plus some preview pictures! Mainly caps from the advert at this site (CLICK). Junsu looking cool there!
A preview of the CF
BoA's 'AnyBand' Commercial to Premiere Soon
Remember the rumor of a new AnyCall commercial featuring BoA? Well, the days of uncertainty are over. The rumor been confirmed to be true, and the new commercial will premiere next week in Korea.
Hankook Ilbo reports that the new advertisement campaign for Samsung AnyCall, titled AnyBand, will be unveiled in a special event on November 7. BoA is scheduled to attend the event, but it is uncertain if she will perform the new song that is featured in the commercial.
As rumored, most of the shootings were done in Brazil secretly. Tablo of Epik High, Xiah Junsu of DBSK and Jin Bora also co-star in the commercial, in which their individual talent and accomplishments are highlighted.
Now the question that everyone is asking is whether Lee Hyori's contract with Samsung, which expires at the end of this year, will be renewed or not. Hyori's past commercials, including AnyMotion and AnyClub, were all huge successes for both Samsung and Hyori herself. If Samsung decides to let go of Hyori, then this will mean that BoA will replace Hyori in perhaps the most coveted job among female entertainers in Korea.
